Hello there!
Forgive the misleading title, this thread has nothing to do with dancing.
Entry requirements for Plymouth University Peninsula School of Medicine
A-Levels:
Minimum requirement of A*AA which must include Chemistry and either Biology or Physics.
UKCAT:
UKCAT is not required for international students.
Interviews:
The interview is structured and formal to make sure every student is asked the same questions and receives the same prompts. It's not a test of your scientific knowledge but aims to explore your attitudes, outlook and way of thinking.
International Baccalaureate:
38 - 36 points overall including 6 in higher level biology and chemistry.
Scottish Advanced Highers:
Grades AAA including chemistry and either biology or physics. If biology is not offered at Advanced Higher Level, it must be achieved at a minimum of grade C at Higher Level.
Welsh Baccalaureate Advanced Diploma: (for the funny ones amongst us)
A pass in the Diploma, plus grades A*A – AA in chemistry and either biology or physics. A fourth subject must be achieved at a minimum of grade C at AS level. If biology is not studied at A level, this must be achieved at a minimum of grade C at AS level. General studies at A/AS level is not included within any offer.
English Proficiency:
International English Language Testing System (IELTS) band 7.5 or above with at least 7.0 in each of the speaking and listening sections, taken within 12 months prior to entry
IB score of 6 in English B at the standard level
RESITS:
We are happy to accept applications from students with AS-level resits, either taken alongside the A2s or taken during a repeat of Year 12.
We are happy to accept applications from students that are taking A2 resits, providing AAB has been achieved at the first attempt.
Please note that resit students are not under any disadvantage, and it is not necessary to demonstrate/provide evidence of extenuating circumstances.
